In 1989 Ewing Athletics became the first independent basketball brand when Patrick Ewing became the first professional basketball player to have his own shoe company. In 2012 he relaunced the brand and today Ewing Athletics are focusing on dope collaborations and are still bringing the heat that put them on the map back in the day.

Russell Tyrone Jones, aka Ol’ Dirty Bastard, was an American rapper. He was one of the founding members of the Wu-Tang Clan, a rap group primarily from Staten Island, New York City, which rose to mainstream prominence with its 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang. His solo career began March 28, 1995, at the age of 26 with his first solo album, Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version, going platinum on the strength of hit singles “Brooklyn Zoo” and “Shimmy Shimmy Ya”. Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s legal troubles and eccentric behavior made him “something of a folk hero”, tragically on November 13th, 2004, he collapsed and later died from what was determined to be an accidental overdose from a lethal mixture of cocaine and the prescription opioid tramadol. RIP ODB!

The Rogue was one of the most in demand shoes of Ewing Athletics rich history and has been brought back over the years for various collabs. This ODB iteration features premium packaging with the album cover on the box cover and Hi-Res photos in the inside of the box as well as special ODB branding throughout the project. Available for the first time since our comeback, the ROGUE features a forefoot cross strap support system coupled with neoprene midfoot inserts along with an EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning.
